The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Carioca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reynaldo de Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Carioca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 57 minute of play. Reynaldo de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anderson Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Reynaldo de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bangu Atletic Club booed when Mangaratu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dagoberto Mineiro hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Francisco Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot.
