With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luizão Vargas in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Dantas saved S.C. Eagles Fire from getting behind. In the 7th minute Célio Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Osvaldo Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Osvaldo Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Dantas having to interfere. If Mauro Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rômulo Penha hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Leandro Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Guimarães in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Nuno Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Luizão Vargas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Paulo Dantas to make any attempt to save it. Guacupi FC's Antônio Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leandro Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Brasil in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Alfredo Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Dantas didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Guacupi FC's Osvaldo Sena shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizão Vargas made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Guimarães during the 50th minute. Paulo Dantas came out of the goal and Luizão Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.C. Eagles Fire's Paulo Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilian Saldanha in the 62nd minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Nuno Arruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Eagles Fire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guacupi FC the free kick. Luizão Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 minutes of play, Guacupi FC's Osvaldo Sena made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Dantas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Célio Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Eagles Fire's supporters rose to their feet, but Célio Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Guimarães got free with Leandro Guedes in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the game, Sílvio Severo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Eagles Fire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guacupi FC the free kick.
