In the 16th match minute, Jales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Bastos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Jales FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Aílton Cardozo hit a great ball. Amauri Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Carioca in the 18th minute of play. Cássio Bastos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of José Carlos Munhoz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelinho Carioca in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amauri Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tadeu Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ibiassuce EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeu Trevisan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Carioca in the 29th minute of play forced Jales FC's goalkeeper Amauri Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Marcelinho Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amauri Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Ibiassuce EC's José Carlos Munhoz got control of the ball when Cássio Bastos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelinho Carioca in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amauri Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Brito in the 43rd minute of play forced Ibiassuce EC's goalkeeper José Carlos Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ibiassuce EC booed when Jales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christiano Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelinho Carioca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amauri Fonseca. That made the score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. Amauri Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaká Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Fonseca having to interfere. Marcelinho Carioca might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amauri Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelinho Carioca ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the game, Jales FC's Cássio Bastos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Carlos Munhoz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Tadeu Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Amauri Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Marcelinho Carioca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibiassuce EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 88 minutes into the match, Jales FC's goalkeeper Amauri Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelinho Carioca. Alexandre Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Fonseca having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Christiano Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelinho Carioca succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 96th playminute. Ibiassuce EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
