José Carlos Munhoz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lenílson de Alcântara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 46 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Tupi EC's Yan Loyola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeu Trevisan got free with Yan Loyola in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Ibiassuce EC's Marcelinho Carioca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yan Loyola. Yan Loyola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Ibiassuce EC played a much better game than Tupi EC and deserved their victory. The Tupi EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
