Yan Loyola came out of the goal and Eurico Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yan Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Varela in the 15th minute of the match. Valério Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Loyola having to interfere. Eurico Varela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yan Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Ulysses Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sílvio Luís Severo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ulysses Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson de Alcântara in the 25th minute of play. After 28 played minutes, Otavianos FC's Ismael Campidelis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yan Loyola came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Otavianos FC reached it. Otavianos FC's Eurico Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valério Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Yan Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Otavianos FC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eurico Varela was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tupi EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Otavianos FC the free kick. Eurico Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Yan Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Campidelis during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ismael Campidelis hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Lenílson Sergipano didn't quite understand what happened when in the 64 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Tupi EC's Yan Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Varela in the 67th minute of play. Vito Trigo's late challenge caught a Tupi EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vito Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Otavianos FC's Vito Trigo got a free kick in the 69th minute. The supporters of Tupi EC booed when Otavianos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otavianos FC's Ulysses Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson de Alcântara in the 77th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilson Brasil got free with Ulysses Secco in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st match minute, Otavianos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Trigo to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Gilson Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lenílson de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tupi EC booed when Otavianos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lenílson de Alcântara was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Tupi EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ulysses Secco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lenílson de Alcântara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 97 minute of play. The Otavianos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tupi EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tupi EC.
