Spectators: 7271 (Terracing: 5455, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silas das Neves started the match with the kick off. If Mazinho Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Claretiana defense, Mazinho Messias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Arósio. The Claretiana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Arósio should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute Silas das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Mazinho Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barcelona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Mazinho Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agostinho Favoretto hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Fiori Berger's late challenge caught a Barcelona FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fiori Berger helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barcelona FC booed when Claretiana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Mazinho Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Messias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, Mazinho Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christiano Arósio. Claretiana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mazinho Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Claretiana's Ismael Prata got a free kick in the 46th minute. The audience was convinced that Rafael Nóbrega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Arósio was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After 47 minutes, Rafael Nóbrega made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Claretiana's Christiano Arósio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Barcelona FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Nóbrega made a kick off. Rafael Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claretiana's Christiano Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Claretiana from getting a goal against them. Carlos Eduardo Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barcelona FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas das Neves in the 69th minute of play forced Barcelona FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Claretiana booed when Barcelona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mazinho Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Christiano Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Claretiana booed when Barcelona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Bastos in the 78th minute of play forced Barcelona FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazinho Messias struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Christiano Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcelona FC. After 84 played minutes Claretiana got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Antunes. Claretiana's Christiano Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Nóbrega in the 85th minute of play. Christiano Arósio made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Mazinho Messias sent off a good shot on target. Silas das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Barcelona FC fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Barcelona FC's Mazinho Messias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The attack was good, but when Vladimir Bastos in the 97th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rafael Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Christiano Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barcelona FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
