Dino Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Bertassi having to interfere. Chicão Lira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chico Munhoz having to make a save. When Anísio Pitta fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imbira FC's protests and gave Anísio Pitta a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Imbira FC got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Pitta. Roger Bertassi came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Capitari's Dino Quirino. But to his dismay, Dino Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 41st minute, Yuri Pimenta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 41st minute, Chicão Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Dino Quirino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roger Bertassi. Imbira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino Quirino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The Imbira FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clube Atlético Capitari were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dino Quirino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Roger Bertassi managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Clube Atlético Capitari's Dino Quirino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dino Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Roger Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Imbira FC's zone, Dino Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Bertassi came out of the goal and Dino Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roger Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Artur Borges sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th match minute, Imbira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Roger Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Marquez in the 80th minute of the match. Chicão Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Chicão Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Clube Atlético Capitari left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Imbira FC.
