Barcelona FC's Mazinho Messias came free and shot a quick shot against goal 5 minutes in the game, fortunately Roger Bertassi had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 7 minutes into the match, Imbira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Nóbrega came free, but Roger Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Barcelona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Pimenta came free, but Carlos Eduardo Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelona FC's zone, Chicão Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Eduardo Koehler came out of the goal and Chicão Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Nóbrega succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Rafael Nóbrega hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Rafael Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Chicão Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Roger Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Bertassi was a little too slow when Rafael Nóbrega got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Nóbrega to strike the kick off in the second half. When Mazinho Messias came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Barcelona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazinho Messias couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the match, Rafael Nóbrega notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Imbira FC's Roger Bertassi. Roger Bertassi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roger Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Nóbrega in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Mazinho Messias made a precise shot to the right of Roger Bertassi. Imbira FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Roger Bertassi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After some careless play in the Imbira FC defense, Rafael Nóbrega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Bertassi. The Imbira FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Rafael Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Bertassi having to interfere. The supporters of Barcelona FC booed when Imbira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Messias in the 77th minute of the match. Roger Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roger Bertassi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Imbira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Nóbrega came free, but Roger Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Anísio Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7-0 became the score in the 85th minute when Mazinho Messias elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Imbira FC's Roger Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Messias in the 89th minute of play. Mazinho Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Bertassi having to interfere. 98 minutes into the game, Mazinho Messias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Roger Bertassi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barcelona FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
