Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Silas das Neves started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Valdomiro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Sabóia having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimir Bastos during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Claretiana got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Bastos. Christiano Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Amílton Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the SC Internacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílton Pinho couldn't finish the play. Amílton Pinho struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Christiano Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Internacional. After 21 minutes of play Claretiana's Fiori Berger was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 22 played minutes Claretiana got a freekick which was hit by Fiori Berger. Christiano Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdomiro Oliveira in the 27th minute. In the 29thth minute of the game Vladimir Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Internacional's Dedê Sabóia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 32 played minutes SC Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Macedo. Christiano Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdomiro Oliveira in the 36th minute. The supporters of SC Internacional booed when Claretiana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horácio Macedo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, Amílton Pinho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christiano Arósio. Amílton Pinho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdomiro Oliveira got free with Christiano Arósio in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Claretiana's Ismael Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Valdomiro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Internacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, SC Internacional's Amílton Pinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christiano Arósio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Valdomiro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 68 minutes of play, SC Internacional's Amílton Pinho made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 78 minutes, Amílton Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Internacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amílton Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Valdomiro Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christiano Arósio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Christiano Arósio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amílton Pinho went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Claretiana's zone, Valdomiro Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Arósio came out of the goal and Valdomiro Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Internacional fully deserved thier win.
