When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Elano Marquez took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Diamantino Zonta to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes into the match, Saycan FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dino Quirino. Dino Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, André Luís Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saycan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Luís Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chico Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Soares in the 24th minute of play. When André Luís Mota fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saycan FC's protests and gave André Luís Mota a yellow card for diving instead. André Luís Mota hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Dino Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes, Artur Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube Atlético Capitari and the Saycan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luís Mota in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Munhoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamantino Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Marquez in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Durval Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Capitari's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elano Marquez to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Capitari's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Mota came free, but Chico Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Cauan de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elano Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Zonta having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Dino Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético Capitari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Clube Atlético Capitari booed when Saycan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrique Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Chico Munhoz made a huge save. Elano Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chico Munhoz came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Saycan FC's Henrique Soares. But to his dismay, Henrique Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 88 minutes into the match, Saycan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Marquez came free, but Diamantino Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When André Luís Mota was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. After 96 played minutes Saycan FC got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Reis. In the 97th minute Dino Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
