The supporters of Imbira FC booed when Saycan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chicão Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Saycan FC's André Luís Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Imbira FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Luiz Gustavo Saldanha hit a great ball. If Henrique Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrique Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the game, André Luís Mota lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Roger Bertassi. Yuri Pimenta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Saycan FC's Henrique Soares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henrique Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Roger Bertassi made a huge save. Diamantino Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Lira in the 28th minute of the match. Chicão Lira might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diamantino Zonta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chicão Lira ran back to his position shaking his head. If Vitório Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Saycan FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão de Amorim. Yuri Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Diamantino Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chicão Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Diamantino Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imbira FC. In the 47th minute Yuri Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Luís Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. Roger Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Válter Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 71st minute Yuri Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Saycan FC's Diamantino Zonta got control of the ball when Chicão Lira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Chicão Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imbira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Saycan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Pimenta came free, but Diamantino Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Luís Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saycan FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Zonta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saycan FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Imbira FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
