Urandy FC's Serginho Paraense pulled a muscle in his back after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Agostinho Machado's late challenge caught a Urandy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agostinho Machado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute Gilson da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas de Mendonça hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Claudinho Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Proença in the 57th minute of play. Claudinho Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carlos Eduardo Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urandy FC's protests and gave Carlos Eduardo Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. Gernando Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Claudinho Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Urandy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Edmílson Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson da Mata in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Pituna booed when Urandy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Gernando Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gernando Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gernando Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodriguinho Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Urandy FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Pituna from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
