Cesinha Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dráuzio de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Serginho Paraense sent off a good shot on target. Jarbas de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Neiva during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claudinho Velloso had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Yan de Godoi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Serginho Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio de Amorim having to interfere. In the 39th play minute Serginho Paraense came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dráuzio de Amorim. 1-0.

The wind increased when Cesinha Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Urandy FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cafu Aguiar. Dráuzio de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Gilson da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serginho Paraense struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Dráuzio de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urandy FC. If Gilson da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráuzio de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 77 played minutes da Loop got a freekick which was hit by José Camargo. Urandy FC's Gilson da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the da Loop defense, Gilson da Mata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio de Amorim. The da Loop fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio de Amorim should have stopped the shot. Urandy FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
