Spectators: 7211 (Terracing: 5409, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gilson da Mata kicked off to start the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gilson da Mata sped through Corinthians's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto Siqueira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilson da Mata in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Siqueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilson da Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Siqueira having to make a save. In the 20th minute Gilson da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Leme in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Urandy FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Brodel hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Gilson da Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinho Velloso had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Lúcio Leme from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Serginho Paraense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 48th minute by Luiz Gustavo Moreno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lúcio Leme made a kick off. Serginho Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Siqueira having to interfere. Humberto Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilson da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinho Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Leme in the 58th minute of play. If Lúcio Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, Corinthians's Clóvis Breckenfeld nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Lúcio Leme hit a great ball. Luiz Gustavo Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After 81 played minutes Urandy FC got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Mendes. Humberto Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Velloso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Urandy FC's zone, Lúcio Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Velloso came out of the goal and Lúcio Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
