The supporters of Cassu booed when Firmamento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Trancoso in the 20th minute of play forced Firmamento's goalkeeper Clóvis Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tostão Severo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Firmamento's Cauã Monteiro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 47th minute Cauã Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cassu getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Beto Lira hit a great ball. Cauã Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Augusto Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. Cauã Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauã Monteiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Tostão Severo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. During the 67th minute of the match Beto Lira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Beto Lira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Beto Lira hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Anísio Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Mangueira got free with Tostão Severo in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cassu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Roberto Mangueira scored to the left of an out of position Tostão Severo, making the score, 0-3. Anísio Dias struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Tostão Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Firmamento. Tostão Severo made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Roberto Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. Anísio Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tostão Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tostão Severo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Mangueira in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Cassu getting a freekick after 87 minutes play.
