Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Ibitura's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Alvarenga came free, but Wilton Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederico Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes Montese FC got a freekick which was hit by Cacá Novaes. 18 minutes into the match, Ibitura's Arthur Eger broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 24th match minute, Ibitura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renan Mendonça got free with Rubinho do Vale in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilton Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Montese FC's Haroldo Cabral in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renan Mendonça got free with Rubinho do Vale in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvaldo Alvarenga to strike the kick off in the second half. Edvaldo Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Ibitura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Edvaldo Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ibitura's Rubinho dos Santos got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Montese FC's Edvaldo Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edvaldo Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilton Branco having to interfere. Rubinho do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Frederico Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renan Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilton Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Montese FC booed when Ibitura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederico Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Rubinho do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
