The supporters of Lua Sporting booed when Maciel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hendi Soesilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardinho Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Leal in the 6th minute of the match. Dida de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lua Sporting booed when Maciel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Pinheiro in the 10th minute of play forced Maciel FC's goalkeeper Dida de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Téo Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Dida de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Téo Bertassi scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dida de Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21stth minute of the game Cássio Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maciel FC's Dida de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute José Carlos Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Augusto Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Augusto Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lua Sporting's João Augusto Netto got a free kick in the 25th minute. Dida de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Pinheiro in the 27th minute of the match. Célio Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If José Carlos Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beto Leal in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardinho Vale saved Lua Sporting from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beto Leal to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Leal in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardinho Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Célio Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Maciel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Beto Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Maciel FC's Segundo Gaitano got a free kick in the 60th minute. Dida de Moraes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Téo Bertassi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Pombal in the 64th minute of play forced Lua Sporting's goalkeeper Bernardinho Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardinho Vale came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Maciel FC's Beto Leal. But to his dismay, Beto Leal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Chiquinho Velloso's late challenge caught a Maciel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiquinho Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Maciel FC booed when Lua Sporting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Beto Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maciel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beto Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Célio Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the game, Lua Sporting's Cássio Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lua Sporting's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
