After 15 minutes, Nilson Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wiliam de Barros to make the kick off. If Luan Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Duarte Rosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nilton Vidal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd play minute Nelson Vander came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alfredo Varela. 2-2. Nelson Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Alfredo Varela made a huge save. Alfredo Varela came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's Nelson Vander. But to his dismay, Nelson Vander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. A collision led to PINGUINS ABANDONANDO JOGO getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. João Quirino hit a great ball. Wiliam de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alfredo Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
