When Diguinho de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Traitu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diguinho de Castro couldn't finish the play. Nilton Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Meirelles in the 5th minute of play. In the 16th minute Chiquinho Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match Claudinei Valadares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilton Vidal skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chiquinho Meirelles in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilton Vidal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Nelson Vander came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelson Vander couldn't finish the play. If Chiquinho Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Meirelles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nilton Vidal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's Nilton Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho de Castro in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wiliam de Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Nelson Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's Nilton Vidal got control of the ball when Diguinho de Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Traitu's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Vander came free, but Robinho Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Traitu's Diguinho de Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nilton Vidal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 1-2 became the score in the 69th minute when Chiquinho Meirelles elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Traitu's Chiquinho Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's Nelson Vander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robinho Lira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Traitu's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Vander came free, but Robinho Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Meirelles in the 97th minute of the match.
