Acácio de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Freitas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Japaratinga's Oswaldo Vander got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Acácio de Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, F.C COSLOSKI's Cássio Linares got a free kick in the 57th minute. Tiago Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Japaratinga's Romário Figueiredo got a free kick in the 85th minute. Acácio de Salles might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Acácio de Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulysses Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano da Cunha in the 89th minute of the match. The Japaratinga support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
