Nelson Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Donato Valle throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wiliam de Barros in the 8thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Donato Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Bairrinho SS's Donato Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam de Barros in the 15th minute of play. Cristóvão Netto's late challenge caught a Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Netto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Cristóvão Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bairrinho SS's Cristóvão Netto got his second yellow card of the match in the 19th minute. The referee ordered Cristóvão Netto off the ground. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Vander got free with Donato Valle in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Virgílio Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Bairrinho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Mineiro couldn't finish the play. In the 47th match minute, Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fabiano Donato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edson Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Valle having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Donato struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Nilton Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bairrinho SS. If Nelson Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Wiliam de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam de Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th match minute, Bairrinho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Cosme to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
