Spectators: 6670 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cafu Paiva took the kick off in the first half of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Cafu Paiva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dorival Silveira. Cafu Paiva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Seleto's zone, Jonathan Siqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Silveira came out of the goal and Jonathan Siqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilson Travassos came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Seleto's José Paulo Leite. But to his dismay, José Paulo Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Carlos Augusto Sergipano scored 1-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Travassos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edu Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Travassos having to interfere. Wilson Travassos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 33 minutes into the match, Seleto's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Paiva came free, but Dorival Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Carlos Augusto Sergipano sped through Saracura SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Travassos. José Paulo Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Travassos having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Augusto Sergipano to make the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Edu Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seleto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edu Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Seleto fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Seleto booed when Saracura SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nico Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Augusto Sergipano got free with Wilson Travassos in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Belmiro Paraense fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
