Spectators: 6841 (Terracing: 5125, Seating: 1576, VIP seats: 140) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Juarês da Rocha got the match started through his kick off. Amílton Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês da Rocha in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Percival Borges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Júlio Alagoano. Percival Borges showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Tupynambás's goal looked a bit too open when Juarês da Rocha came free, but Amílton Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Tupynambás was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luís Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tupynambás's goalkeeper Amílton Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Percival Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tupynambás getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Percival Borges hit a great ball. Juarês da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Saecinza's goalkeeper Júlio Alagoano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luís Vasconcelos. Júlio Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Vasconcelos in the 30th minute of the match. If Ricardinho Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes, Eliseu Monteiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tupynambás and the Saecinza players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Percival Borges was the one to do the kick off. Juarês da Rocha in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amílton Barreto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 57th minute, Percival Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tupynambás fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 70 minutes into the match, Tupynambás's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Pombal came free, but Amílton Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Glauco Valle notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Saecinza's Júlio Alagoano. Júlio Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the game, Juninho Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saecinza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tupynambás the free kick. In the 77th minute, Juninho Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco Valle did an outstanding performance 80 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 5-0 to the right of an irritated Júlio Alagoano in the goal. Amílton Barreto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Percy Cabral. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Valle in the 86th minute of play forced Saecinza's goalkeeper Júlio Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tupynambás's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Ricardinho Pombal scored to the left of an out of position Amílton Barreto, making the score, 5-1. Juarês da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Barreto having to interfere. Tupynambás walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
