But to his dismay, José Paulo Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Genílson Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Evarista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Augusto Sergipano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Dorival Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Peres in the 80th minute of play forced Evarista's goalkeeper Genílson Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Carlos Augusto Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Evarista's Válbson Baiano got a free kick in the 85th minute. Edu Peres struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Seleto had played much better football throughout.
