Celsinho Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Amílton Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Seleto booed when Tupynambás was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Carlos Augusto Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seleto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Augusto Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Amílton Barreto as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Borges in the 18th minute of play forced Seleto's goalkeeper Dorival Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Percival Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílton Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amílton Barreto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Percival Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dorival Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Tupynambás's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carlos Augusto Sergipano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Wanderson Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wanderson Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Seleto! After 30 played minutes Edu Peres rounded Tupynambás's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Dorival Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Reis in the 33rd minute of the match. Celsinho Secco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 36th playminute. When Glauco Valle fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tupynambás's protests and gave Glauco Valle a yellow card for diving instead. Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Augusto Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. The wind increased when Percival Borges made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tupynambás's zone, José Paulo Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Barreto came out of the goal and José Paulo Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amílton Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Amílton Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano in the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Carlos Augusto Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seleto's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Carlos Augusto Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 72 played minutes Seleto got a freekick which was hit by Elias Soeiro. The long shot by Vágner Soares in the 72nd minute really tested Dorival Silveira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Augusto Sergipano in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílton Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Glauco Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Carlos Augusto Sergipano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amílton Barreto. Tupynambás's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Augusto Sergipano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. When José Paulo Leite came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Seleto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Paulo Leite couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the game, Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Seleto had played much better football throughout.
