The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Guilherme Barral got free with Júlio Alagoano in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Júlio Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saecinza's Júlio Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Saecinza from getting a goal against them. Otávio Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Otávio Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juarês da Rocha went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. It was joyful for the audience to see Luís Guilherme Barral dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 41st played minute and put the ball into the net. 1-3. Juarês da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Otávio Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Saecinza's goalkeeper Júlio Alagoano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Guilherme Barral. Isaltino Costa came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Júlio Alagoano could save by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juarês da Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. Isaltino Costa hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match.
