He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cacaulandia FC reached it. In the 26th minute, Carlos Eduardo Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tarcisio Romero was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 39thth minute of the game Magno Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thiago futebol club's Diguinho Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kauã Nóbrega hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Gerson Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thiago futebol club's goalkeeper Diguinho Penha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diguinho Penha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kléberson Hermes went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amílton Medeiros to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cacaulandia FC's Luís Guilherme Abreu got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Ciro Munhoz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tarcisio Romero skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Cacaulandia FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Frédson Diniz hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Cacaulandia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Pirani came free, but Tarcisio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cacaulandia FC's zone, Amílton Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarcisio Romero came out of the goal and Amílton Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Magno Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacaulandia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thiago futebol club's goalkeeper Diguinho Penha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magno Barros in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diguinho Penha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amílton Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
