Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Barros to make the kick off. PlayArt FC's Otávio Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Barros in the 78th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Munhoz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Cacaulandia FC were awarded a corner. Frédson Diniz went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Arthur Saldanha heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Magno Barros, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 89 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Otávio Magalhães was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Cacaulandia FC's Arthur Saldanha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Otávio Magalhães. That made the score 1-2 after 96 minutes of play.
