An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Mangueira in the 31st minute of play forced E. C. Fernandes's goalkeeper Nicolas Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, E. C. Fernandes's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Mangueira came free, but Nicolas Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Augusto Mangueira made a kick off. Zé Augusto Mangueira took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Nascimento. Nicolas Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Carioca in the 58th minute of play forced Nuguacu's goalkeeper Gil Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Nuguacu got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Queirós. Zé Augusto Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Nascimento having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 played minutes, E. C. Fernandes's Sidnei de Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gil Vaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in E. C. Fernandes reached it. Albertinho Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Vaz having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Nuguacu got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Mangueira. If Eugênio Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Augusto Mangueira in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zé Augusto Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuguacu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
