The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Adalberto Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iwamoto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adalberto Abraão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Ramalho came out and tried to block the shot, but Adalberto Abraão slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. With his leg Alberto Ramalho managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Iwamoto FC's Ciro Nascimento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Wiliam da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Iwamoto FC's Wiliam da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Camargo in the 24th minute of play. Nicolas Botelho's late challenge caught a Iwamoto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute of the match Guga Mazza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Ramalho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ciro Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adalberto Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guga Mazza struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Alberto Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iwamoto FC. Adalberto Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Leonardo Camargo made the kick off in the second half. Ciro Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Alberto Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Leonardo Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trevo de 3 Cores's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Luís de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Wiliam da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Siqueira during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wiliam da Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 97th minute, Fellipe Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute Adalberto Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trevo de 3 Cores succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Iwamoto FC had controlled the match.
