The audience was convinced that Hortêncio Camargo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Cerezo was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Hortêncio Camargo sped through Maragoji FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Cerezo. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remo de Queirós was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Las Conchas's goalkeeper Guga Lucas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Hortêncio Camargo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zé Cerezo. That made the score 0-4 in the 60 minute of play. Hortêncio Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Maragoji FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Célio Lara hit a great ball. Zé Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Camargo in the 76th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Campidelis got free with Zé Cerezo in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Campidelis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zé Cerezo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 88 played minutes Las Conchas got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Pitta. Maragoji FC's Zé Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Camargo in the 92nd minute of play. If Hugo Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Las Conchas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
