Spectators: 7235 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sydney Costa made the kick off which started today's match. 6 minutes into the game, Pikastofly FC's Cristiano Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inácio Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pikastofly FC's Cristiano Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Escadilha's Inácio Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Costa in the 15th minute of play. Inácio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Costa in the 19th minute of play. Sydney Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Vargas having to interfere. Cristiano Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Inácio Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Costa in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Tomás de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Escadilha's Ediberto Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Cristiano Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pikastofly FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inácio Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, one of Escadilha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Inácio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Costa in the 39th minute of play. Cristiano Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inácio Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Escadilha's Hugo Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cristiano Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cristiano Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Pikastofly FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Pinho couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ediberto Romero was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pikastofly FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Zonta was slow to take the kick. During this time Escadilha's players had a chance to rest. Sydney Costa took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inácio Vargas. Inácio Vargas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Inácio Vargas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Pinho's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Sydney Costa came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Pikastofly FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sydney Costa couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Pinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Inácio Vargas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sydney Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inácio Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Sydney Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Vargas having to interfere. Hermínio Favoretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inácio Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Escadilha's goalkeeper Inácio Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Pinho. Emanuel Berger came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Escadilha's Ediberto Romero. But to his dismay, Ediberto Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The Escadilha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pikastofly FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
