Válter Freitass short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Zé Cerezo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo de Queirós in the 9th minute of play forced Trevo de 3 Cores's goalkeeper Alberto Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Saraiva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Ramalho. Trevo de 3 Cores's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vito Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Zé Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Camargo in the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of Trevo de 3 Cores booed when Maragoji FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When Válter Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Trevo de 3 Cores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válter Freitas couldn't finish the play. Fellipe Loyola charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fellipe Loyola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Trevo de 3 Cores getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Fellipe Loyola hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Trevo de 3 Cores's Vito Mineiro got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Válter Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Maragoji FC's Ediberto Madureira got a free kick in the 65th minute. Alberto Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Vinhas in the 68th minute. The supporters of Maragoji FC booed when Trevo de 3 Cores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Maragoji FC got a corner. Trevo de 3 Cores's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ediberto Madureira ran over to the corner to take the kick. 79 minutes into the match, Válter Freitas notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Maragoji FC's Zé Cerezo. Zé Cerezo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the match, Maragoji FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Loyola came free, but Zé Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Remo de Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Ramalho was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Cléberson Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Trevo de 3 Cores fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maragoji FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
