Vitinho Tavares made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Doni Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of S.E. Bento XVI booed when Mraoliveira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doni Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Vitinho Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E. Bento XVI. Adhemar Cearense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Vitinho Tavares made a huge save. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mraoliveira's goalkeeper Vitinho Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Ruy Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mraoliveira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E. Bento XVI the free kick. Ruy Faria hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Víktor Veiga in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitinho Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilson Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Durval Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mraoliveira booed when S.E. Bento XVI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséas Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Mraoliveira's Cauan Nogueira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Mraoliveira's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Veiga came free, but Vitinho Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.E. Bento XVI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oséas Lopez in the 25th minute. It was a well-played corner which Dorival Sarmento managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some careless play in the S.E. Bento XVI defense, Rafa Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durval Souto. The S.E. Bento XVI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durval Souto should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute, Nilson Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mraoliveira's goalkeeper Vitinho Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Mraoliveira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doni Figueiredo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Víktor Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Adhemar Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitinho Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rafa Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilson Branco made a kick off. Vitinho Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Nilson Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafa Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Doni Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Adhemar Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E. Bento XVI's supporters rose to their feet, but Adhemar Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mraoliveira's zone, Doni Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Tavares came out of the goal and Doni Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cauan Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mraoliveira's protests and gave Cauan Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Cauan Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Víktor Veiga during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.E. Bento XVI's Víktor Veiga got a free kick in the 76th minute. Víktor Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vitinho Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Víktor Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doni Figueiredo scored 1-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitinho Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mraoliveira's Vitinho Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Víktor Veiga in the 93rd minute of play. Doni Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Tavares having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. S.E. Bento XVI fully deserved thier win.
