After a defensive mix-up in BOSA SC's zone, Doni Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauan Sabóia came out of the goal and Doni Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes BOSA SC got a freekick which was hit by Romeu de Barros. Cauan Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Víktor Veiga's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséas Lopez during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Oséas Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jano Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Durval Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Figueiredo in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cauan Sabóia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Durval Souto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Hoffmann in the 53rd minute. Dieguinho Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dieguinho Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes BOSA SC got a freekick which was hit by Dieguinho Silva. 55 minutes into the match, BOSA SC's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Veiga came free, but Cauan Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Souto having to interfere. Ciro Hoffmanns short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Durval Souto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of BOSA SC booed when S.E. Bento XVI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adhemar Cearense hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Jano Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BOSA SC's Cauan Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Figueiredo in the 71st minute of play. Doni Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jano Tande in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the BOSA SC defense, Doni Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauan Sabóia. The BOSA SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauan Sabóia should have stopped the shot. Doni Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Sabóia having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víktor Veiga in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauan Sabóia saved BOSA SC from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, S.E. Bento XVI's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Tande came free, but Durval Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S.E. Bento XVI fans cheered their team off the field, for while BOSA SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
