Rubens Maia came out of the goal and Henrique Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If André Luís de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Charles Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guiomar AD. 32 minutes into the match, Guiomar AD's Fabiano Corrêa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vivaldo Netto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charles Trancoso. Gira EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Gira EC's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Brasil came free, but Charles Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 48 minutes, Sydney Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gira EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matheus Brasil to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Guiomar AD's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Ortiz came free, but Rubens Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Henrique Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guiomar AD's Rubens Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th match minute, Gira EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Rosado to maneuver through the defense. Guiomar AD's Matheus Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fabiano Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gira EC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. André Luís de Azevedo hit a great ball. Fabiano Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Trancoso having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Gira EC's Henrique Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rubens Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Matheus Brasil came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Guiomar AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Brasil couldn't finish the play. Charles Trancoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabiano Corrêa in the 87th minute. If Matheus Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubens Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Ortiz in the 96th minute of play. Henrique Rosado hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
