After a defensive mix-up in Brasino's zone, Hudson Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The referee gave Tubibus SC a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roberto Abraão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brasino's Genílson Borges. 1-0. With a little luck, Brasino's Genílson Borges got control of the ball when Hudson Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabrício Andrade was the one to do the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Brasino's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Andrade came free, but Genílson Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
