The crowd rose to their feet as Adilson de Senna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zbyszek Gabis. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Josué Arce hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that João Pedro Mota's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wiliam Capixaba was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Giovani Hoffmann made a precise shot to the right of Wiliam Capixaba. Tricolor do Morumba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 16th minute Fortnite were awarded a corner. Giovani Hoffmann went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Fortnite's corner Giovani Hoffmann fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wiliam Capixaba quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th minute, Giovani Hoffmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wiliam Capixaba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Gilberto Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Gilberto Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortnite's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wiliam Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, João Pedro Mota notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Tricolor do Morumba's Wiliam Capixaba. Wiliam Capixaba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Giovani Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortnite's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovani Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wiliam Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Mota in the 34th minute of play. João Pedro Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Capixaba having to interfere. The supporters of Tricolor do Morumba booed when Fortnite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zbyszek Gabis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hélio Moreno. After the first half Fortnite were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adilson de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. Tricolor do Morumba's Wiliam Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Mota in the 61st minute of play. João Pedro Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Wiliam Capixaba made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Tricolor do Morumba's Josué Arce got a free kick in the 74th minute. Fortnite's Zbyszek Gabis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Cordeiro in the 88th minute of play. Adilson de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gilberto Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortnite's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
