Geovani Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwo Zawadzki having to interfere. Iwo Zawadzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matías Tasso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 22nd minute, Miguel Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Galaticos F.C's Matías Tasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwo Zawadzki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Geovani Linares lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Iwo Zawadzki. Geovani Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Galaticos F.C's zone, Celsinho de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Luz came out of the goal and Celsinho de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elder Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Mota in the 37th minute of the match. Matías Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwo Zawadzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Juvenal Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celsinho de Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. If Geovani Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mavericks FC booed when Galaticos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iwo Zawadzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Tasso in the 59th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Gabriel Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Mavericks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Mota to maneuver through the defense. Mavericks FC's Iwo Zawadzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Coutinho in the 64th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Matías Tasso put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Iwo Zawadzki. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwo Zawadzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mavericks FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galaticos F.C.
