Luís Fernando Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Quirino in the 34th minute of the match. If Henrique Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sao Paulo Futebol Clube's Luisão Saraiva in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 25 de Outubro's goalie prevented a goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lúcio Quirino to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Adhemar Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Fernando Chaves. Sao Paulo Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adhemar Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Arnaldo Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Gerber in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, 25 de Outubro's Gonçalo Costa got a free kick in the 55th minute. Luís Fernando Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Cauã Paraibano got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 62nd minute, Cauã Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sao Paulo Futebol Clube's zone, Adhemar Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fernando Chaves came out of the goal and Adhemar Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adhemar Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adhemar Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fernando Chaves having to interfere. Henrique Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Arnaldo Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adhemar Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Adhemar Arce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fernando Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 85 played minutes 25 de Outubro got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Quirino. In the 88th minute, Lúcio Quirino made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fernando Chaves. Sao Paulo Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Belmiro Galvão hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 25 de Outubro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
