Elder Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Moura in the 38th minute of play. Dorival Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Luz having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Araraquara's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Linares came free, but Erik Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Dorival Moura made the kick off in the second half. If Adhemar Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Galaticos F.C's zone, Dorival Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Luz came out of the goal and Dorival Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Fred Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Moura in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elder Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matías Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Trancoso having to interfere. When Luiz Paulo Botelho fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araraquara's protests and gave Luiz Paulo Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. 73 minutes into the match, Galaticos F.C's Matías Tasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erik Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matías Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Galaticos F.C's Elder Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Moura in the 81st minute of play. Dorival Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. If Dorival Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Araraquara's Adhemar Mesquita in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galaticos F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 96th minute Matías Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
