In the 9thth minute of the game José Vítor da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mavericks FC's Iwo Zawadzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celsinho de Barros hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor da Fonseca in the 13th minute of play forced Mavericks FC's goalkeeper Iwo Zawadzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Vítor da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, José Vítor da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwo Zawadzki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matheus Peixoto in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwo Zawadzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, José Vítor da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwo Zawadzki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Caetano Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Santo FC booed when Mavericks FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Santo FC were awarded a corner. Thiago de Azevedo went to the cornerflag to take it. Benedito de Amaral hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mavericks FC's goalkeeper Iwo Zawadzki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caetano Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwo Zawadzki having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celsinho de Barros to make the kick off. José Vítor da Fonsecas short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Iwo Zawadzki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 80 minutes into the match, Santo FC's Matheus Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwo Zawadzki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Matheus Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Santo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Peixoto couldn't finish the play. José Vítor da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Léo Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Santo FC's Matheus Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwo Zawadzki narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
