A collision led to Fortnite getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Gilberto Sousa hit a great ball. A hard shot by Pascual Barrutia from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Zbyszek Gabis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gino de Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Paulo Nunes's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Zé Paulo Nunes sped through Kasesky EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gino de Mendonça. A collision led to Fortnite getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Virgílio Schmidt hit a great ball. In the 39th minute of the match, Juninho Gaúcho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zbyszek Gabis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cássio Recife struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Zbyszek Gabis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kasesky EC. After a rather tough play, Fortnite's Sílvio Luís Matorin got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Cássio Recife got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kasesky EC's Gino de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Kasesky EC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Fortnite booed when Kasesky EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zé Paulo Nunes got free in front of the goal in the 60th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Gino de Mendonça was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Giovani Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Kasesky EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovani Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fortnite's Giovani Hoffmann got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Kasesky EC's goalkeeper Gino de Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovani Hoffmann. Pascual Barrutia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszek Gabis having to interfere. If Pascual Barrutia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zbyszek Gabis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Barrutia in the 77th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Pascual Barrutia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fortnite's Zbyszek Gabis. Zbyszek Gabis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Recife in the 82nd minute of play forced Fortnite's goalkeeper Zbyszek Gabis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pascual Barrutia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zbyszek Gabis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Barrutia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbyszek Gabis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Kasesky EC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Fortnite to win.
