But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Cearense couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão de Sousa in the 12th minute of play forced Flarania's goalkeeper Oséas Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos de Alcântara during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Marcos de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséas Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Loyola in the 16th minute of the match. Oséas Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Flarania's Geovanni Sampaio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Luís Guilherme Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséas Quadros having to interfere. Betão de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Igarape AD booed when Flarania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flarania's Oséas Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Loyola in the 37th minute of play. Betão de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséas Quadros having to interfere. Oséas Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Cearense to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Guilherme Loyola in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oséas Quadros saved Flarania from getting behind. Flarania's Nilmar Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reginaldo Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Flarania's Jaime Cearense in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Igarape AD's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão de Sousa got free with Oséas Quadros in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rony Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Luís Guilherme Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betão de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The Flarania supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Igarape AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Igarape AD.
