Spectators: 7086 (Terracing: 5378, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 60) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Celsinho de Barros took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Tricolor do Morumba's Adilson de Senna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iwo Zawadzki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adilson de Senna in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwo Zawadzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Adilson de Senna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwo Zawadzki was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Iwo Zawadzki came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Tricolor do Morumba's Adilson de Senna. But to his dismay, Adilson de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 31 minutes, Adilson de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tricolor do Morumba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adilson de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mavericks FC's zone, Luís Gustavo Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iwo Zawadzki came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 played minutes Mavericks FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Paes. Luís Gustavo Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwo Zawadzki having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson de Senna to make the kick off. Adilson de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Mavericks FC's Zé Falcão got a free kick in the 55th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Adilson de Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Iwo Zawadzki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mavericks FC's Iwo Zawadzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Mavericks FC from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Celsinho de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tricolor do Morumba's Luís Gustavo Cordeiro got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Luís Gustavo Cordeiro off the ground. Luís Gustavo Cordeiro hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Wiliam Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Hélio Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Iwo Zawadzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélio Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwo Zawadzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Tricolor do Morumba's Adilson de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Mavericks FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tricolor do Morumba's performance. The match ended with a win for Tricolor do Morumba.
