Joaquim Vianna had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Bernardinho Paraibano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Aloísio da Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Joaquim Vianna made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio da Costa in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquim Vianna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Aloísio da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Aloísio da Costa made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. TEC's Joaquim Vianna tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The Rolo Comp B fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enéas Vides should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Juvenal Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Rolo Comp B's André Luiz Recife nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Vianna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aloísio da Costa in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Vianna saved TEC from getting behind. Pedro Luís Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Vides having to interfere. If André Luiz Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Paulão Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Aloísio da Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Vianna was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rolo Comp B had played much better football throughout.
