Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arlindo Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Nilmar Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itajuipe EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nilmar Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Amaral having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Mendiko in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vicente Paess short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Cacá de Andrade to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Bebeto Bertassi took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Cacá de Andrade to make any attempt to save it. Nilmar Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Mendiko to strike the kick off in the second half. Victor Mendiko took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Amaral. Luiz Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 59 minutes into the game, Igreja Batista Adonai's Miguel da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cacá de Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 62nd minute, Nilmar Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boruc Motowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Amaral having to interfere. If Nilmar Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Vicente Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel da Mata in the 87th minute of play forced Itajuipe EC's goalkeeper Cacá de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Amaral made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Victor Mendiko sent off a good shot on target. Cacá de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Soeiro in the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of Itajuipe EC booed when Igreja Batista Adonai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Patrick Soeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cacá de Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Itajuipe EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
