Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bernardo Cearense took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pombos's zone, Naldo Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adilson Senna came out of the goal and Naldo Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Cearense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adilson Senna was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Bernardo Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson Senna having to interfere. Henrique Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Esteves in the 13th minute of play. Valdir Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Henrique Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Naldo Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adilson Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Palmeira in the 25th minute of the match. Valdir Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Henrique Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match, Naldo Esteves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Henrique Garcia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 30th minute, Naldo Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Garcia made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Valdir Alves sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Pombos's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Cearense came free, but Adilson Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Naldo Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Valdir Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Henrique Garcia made a huge save. Henrique Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Camargo in the 44th minute of the match. Dragões de São Paulo F.C.'s Henrique Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Dragões de São Paulo F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 48th minute, Bernardo Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Naldo Esteves to make the kick off. Valdir Alves took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Garcia. Henrique Garcia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Valdir Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Henrique Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Esteves in the 71st minute of play forced Dragões de São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Henrique Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Pombos's Valdir Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henrique Garcia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Duarte Marinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adilson Senna. Pombos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Delfim Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pombos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragões de São Paulo F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Pombos getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Delfim Camargo hit a great ball. Adilson Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Cearense in the 77th minute of the match. Valdir Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Valdir Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pombos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
