Spectators: 7195 (Terracing: 5398, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Victor Mendiko kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Itajuipe EC's goalkeeper Cacá de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manoel Bueno. The referee felt a red card was in order, 5 minutes into the game, when Duda de Mendonça put in a rough tackle. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for UBERABA SPORT CLUB. Válbson Mello stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cacá de Andrade. 1-0. Cacá de Andrade came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by UBERABA SPORT CLUB's Manoel Bueno. But to his dismay, Manoel Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Pedro Augusto Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes UBERABA SPORT CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Siqueira. A collision led to UBERABA SPORT CLUB getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sebastião Moreira hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, UBERABA SPORT CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Boruc Motowski came free, but Adilson Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Boruc Motowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Mendiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Adilson Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Victor Mendiko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itajuipe EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Mendiko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Boruc Motowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Augusto Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá de Andrade having to interfere. Victor Mendiko might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adilson Munhoz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Mendiko ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as UBERABA SPORT CLUB's Pedro Augusto Siqueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cacá de Andrade. That made the score 3-0 after 45 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Boruc Motowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adilson Munhoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Nilmar Ferreira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Cacá de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando de Queirós in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Itajuipe EC were awarded a corner. Boruc Motowski went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the Itajuipe EC defense, Luiz Fernando de Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cacá de Andrade. The Itajuipe EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cacá de Andrade should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Boruc Motowski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot by Arlindo Corrêa from long distance, 81 minutes into the match, got Adilson Munhoz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cacá de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando de Queirós in the 83rd minute of the match. Cacá de Andrade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Augusto Siqueira went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. UBERABA SPORT CLUB's Adilson Munhoz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save UBERABA SPORT CLUB from getting a goal against them. Filipe da Silveira took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá de Andrade. Cacá de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The UBERABA SPORT CLUB fans cheered their team off the field, for while Itajuipe EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
