Benjamim Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Romero in the 22nd minute of the match. El Gallinero's Júnior Costa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Marreco FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute of the match El Gallinero got a corner. Marreco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Júnior Costa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A long shot from Júnior Costa in the 57th minute of play was well struck, but Luciano Leão made a really good save at the right post. Marreco FC's Betão Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Gallinero's Benjamim Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Matorin in the 60th minute of play. Betão Matorin scored 1-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamim Freire, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcinho Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Amadeu Severo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamim Freire skillfully saved the ball. Luciano Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Ramalho in the 83rd minute of the match. Júnior Costa, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Magno Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmílson Esteves struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Luciano Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Gallinero. If Edmílson Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, El Gallinero failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
